Roles that do not qualify: Healthcare assistants on bank contracts, agency workers, zero-hours carers, and volunteers cannot be sponsored under the Skilled Worker or Health and Care Worker route. The role must be permanent or fixed-term of at least 6 months with a genuine employment relationship. SOC 6135 and 6136 are the correct codes for care workers â make sure your employer is sponsoring under the right code.
Salary thresholds explained
